Mathias Roloff is a young, Berlin-based painter and representative of “Magic Realism.” Grown in Eastern Germany, his work is influenced by the collapse of the Wall of Berlin, the meltdown of socialism in Europe, the subsequent rise of capitalism, and overweening consumption flooding the society. Mathias Roloff has participated in single and group exhibitions in Berlin, Germany, Italy, the USA, and Brazil. His works are found, amongst others, in the Berlin State Library, the German National Library in Frankfurt, and private collections in Germany, Italy, and the USA.
